List five things you do for fun.

I am trying to post every day to get a little more traction on the blog, so let’s do this. I’m going to try these little daily writing prompts from wordpress. I will try to keep it on theme for the blog.

I will not lie, I struggled to figure out what five things I do for fun. I could think of three off the bat but having to come up with two more was a struggle.

1. Reading! Obviously. It’s what takes the stress away. I read almost strictly fiction with the occasional non-fiction/self-help book. If I like a celebrity enough I will read their biographies, but so far that has only been Felicia Day and Jenette McCurdy. Any book recommendations?

    2. Writing. Again…obviously. I will go through phases where I won’t write anything. I won’t even write in my journal. I will go so long that I start getting stressed out and have no idea why. Then I will write something and the stress just floats away like butterflies.

      3. Painting. This is a new hobby that I have picked up and I don’t know where it has been all my life. I have always enjoyed just painting a canvas black, but one day I did more. I was having a little bit of a mental break down and I decided to not just paint a canvas black. It has turned into a hobby that brings me so much peace. It’s fun!

      4. Hanging out with Friends. I told you I was struggling to find Five things I do for fun. Hanging out with friends is my favorite thing I do for fun, but I was trying to find things that were creative. I don’t know, maybe I misunderstood the assignment. Every so often my friends and I will go this place I call the Warehouse. They have food and drinks and right beside it there is an arcade with old school games, like pinball and pac-man. We have not gone in a while and it is time for us to go again!

      5. Go to the gym. I know that some people would disagree that this is a fun thing, but I genuinely enjoy going to the gym. It relieves stress and I love getting better at things. This is another thing that I haven’t done in a while and really need to get back into it. I am still trying to recover from the holidays…or at least that is the excuse I am using.

      So, what do you do for fun? You got anything you suggest others try? I am always up for something new to try.
