About Me and The Blog

First, let me tell you a little about where I want this blog to go. I will be posting at least once a week, updating on what I am writing, contest I am entering, and how I am doing with query letters. I also will be doing a few short stories and some post on what I am currently reading. Feel free to look at the different pages I have created to see what the different topics are going to be about. I do hope a few of you will enjoy my world.

About me!

My name is Heather Mostella. I have been telling stories before I could even talk and have been writing for the majority of my life. I have never had anything traditionally published, although I did self-publish a book several years ago. I still have the novel sitting in the back of my closet waiting to be revamped, but it is no longer available to buy or read.

I live in a small town in South Carolina and I have the cutest little dog named Pixel. I was born in 1985 so you can do the math on how old I am because I don’t like to think about it too much. I am a Leo…and I sure do love the spotlight, but only for good things. I love watching horror movies. Halloween is my favorite holiday and Christmas is a very close second. I am a moon child and the moon knows more of my secrets than my best friend does. I am a collector of books, crystals, owls, and skulls. I love taking pictures and hope to one day be able to sell photos that I have taken myself. I dream big, because what is the point of dreaming if you don’t dream big?

Here I am, back on the bandwagon with the dream to be traditionally published and let the world of readers have a taste of the stories that have been living in my head for most of my life and some that are fresh. Some are trauma-induced stories, others are caused by just being my happy weird self, and some come from nightmares and dreams.

I have a lot to share with the world. I’m confident that there are a few people out there that would dip their toes into the pool of my dreams, maybe even dive in headfirst. Somewhere out there someone is waiting for me so that I can become their favorite author and they can join the fan club that really only consists of me and maybe a few close family and friends. I know my mom is a fan of my work, but she might be a little biased as I am her favorite child (don’t tell my brother.)
