I have comfort movies and shows. I have seen more than I can count, one show and one movie! I feel like people will laugh at me for one and probably not really know either one of them.

The show that I have seen more times than I can count is called Star Vs. The Forces of Evil. It is a Disney show that I love more than anything! I have seen it so many times I lost count. I know just about every episode by heart. I have used it many nights just to help me sleep. I will turn it on just for noisy while I read so that I can drown out the other sounds in the house. Honestly, I have seen it so many times I am shocked Disney+ has not taken away my right to watch the show. I love it and could watch it on repeat for the rest of my life. I know, I am an adult and I shouldn’t be so obsessed with a cartoon…but I don’t care! I watch Anime too!

Which leads me to the next show I have seen so many times I can’t count. It is an anime that I fell in love with when I first started to really watch anime. It is Ouran High School Host Club. Is it the best anime out there? Probably not. It is kind of dumb and silly, but I adore it so much. When depression hits, it is my second go-to show to watch. Well…when I can watch it on one of the streaming platforms. I just noticed the other night that it was back on Netflix. I can’t wait to watch it again. I realize there are so many other animes I could watch instead, but I just love it!

Now, I said there was a movie that I have seen countless times. I have been watching this movie probably since before I could even talk. It might be the reason I love so many weird things and it may have fueled my love for fantasy.
Labyrinth! Honestly, it is one of the greatest classics to exist. Do I love the Goblin King? Yes!! Would I have stayed in the Labyrinth with Jareth? YESSSS!!! A million times YES! I realize there are hidden meanings behind the movie, but I choose to only notice the service level of the movie and what it presents to me. I do not want to deep dive into it and find its meaning. I just want a Goblin King to come whisk me away and promise me the stars!
I have seen many movies a million times, and there are other shows I have seen multiple times. Casper, The Breakfast Club, The Little Mermaid, Ever After, Never Been Kissed, Clueless, Mean Girls, 10 Things I Hate About You, Cinderella…The list goes on. But Labyrinth will always be my comfort movie.
What movie do you go to for comfort? Or show?
